Anna-Maya Powell, a Swiss native, studied biochemistry while attending university in 1970 which started her lifelong pursuit of understanding better health. In Germany she was licensed in hydrotherapy. After coming to the U.S. she became licensed in the Heartmath System and trained in aromatherapy, reflexology and bio-kinesiology techniques. Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to own and operate a health food store/restaurant in Coeur d'Alene, ID. In 2000 she joined Toastmasters International to polish her public speaking skills and become a better communicator. She currently holds the rank of Able Toastmaster – Bronze level and is working toward the Accredited Speaker designation. Her studies with Peak Potentials and Les Brown have further honed her skills in delivering accelerated learning techniques as a speaker while maintaining a warm, personal connection to the listeners. Anna-Maya joined Young Living, the world leader in essential oils, as an independent distributor in 1989. Recognizing her understanding of health, the company founder offered her special training as his assistant which eventually led her to become one of the company's few corporate trainers in 1998. For years she traveled the U.S. and Canada speaking to thousands providing training in improving health at home and the work place. |
