February 23 Conference Call
Guest: Gary Young
Gary thanked everyone who came to Chicago in the cold. He discussed his
journey to Ecuador. He discussed his contract to write an academic program
on essentials oil – master degree program on essential oil chemistry, medical
program on essential oils, and then have that evolve into a PhD 5-year program.
He is writing the agriculture program now and developing a university
farm. He is teaching one class per week on botany and one class for med
students. He is seeing patients every day who are being referred and
brought by medical doctors and they come in to watch and observe as well and
have expressed a desire to study and learn with him as well.
He is doing some IV work with vitamins and minerals and amino acids, but
primarily essential oils. He is also engaged in research projects and on
weekends goes into the forest finding plants and herbs. He has distilled 8
plants that have not been identified yet, and is doing crossovers to identify
them botanically - some are still unnamed. These oils are far superior to
oils found in others parts of the word. Eucalyptus Globulus for example
– far superior than from anywhere else in the world. He has never found
one like this one. This has 5 more compounds it than any other he has seen
in the world, and found same in lemongrass. 90% of oil-bearing plants
around world grow in Ecuador. He has not yet found sandalwood, frankincense,
galbanum and rosewood, but has found a tree than has similar attributes as
frankincense - palo santo. He started distilling this oil in 9/21/05
and brought samples to be analyzed – very exciting, very strong anti
bacterial, anti viral; and immune stimulating. He is now using this oil on
new patients and has seen bone and other regenerating properties, fascinating.
Another oil that has been discovered and distilled (2nd of the 3) is Ruta.
This oil is not available any place else in the world. After
inhaling, he felt an immediate feeling of modulating brain function. Had
the research team look it up and found that it is was in fact, very effective in
modulating brain function, especially the part associated with depression and
anxiety. It levels the brain response, brings it into a balance in a
harmonic way. He told the story where he gave this oil to executives in a
board meeting and had them breathe it, and they all fell asleep during meeting.
Children - hyperactive children: He used this on a couple little
children, especially 2 very hyper children. He put a little in their palms
and let them breathe it and they were out, asleep! Phenomenal results
confirming that which he had felt when he first inhaled it. He asked an
Incan Shaman about Ruta and asked “What do you do with children when they are
traumatized?” Shaman said, “We use Ruta”. They wave a branch
of ruta leaves over the children; they smell fragrance and are calmed by it.
He then went into the highlands and gathered Ruta and they are now
distilling it. The fragrance is not a fragrance you really take to, it
kind of smells burnt and harsh, but it is so effective and is remarkable. Studies
will begin next month. Very fascinating.
Another oil Lippia citriodora – used by Dr.Valnet pre/post World War II
for malaria in jungle for soldiers 100% effective against these diseases; the
most effective oil in his entire arsenal for swamp fever, malaria, serious
jungle viruses and plagues. Strong in liver regeneration – Lippia and
Ledum for liver regeneration. It is also used for arthritis and diabetes
– a lot of old doctors tell stories about it being effective for diabetes.
He has spent 12 years looking for this oil. There are 12 species in
Ecuador and the compounds are even higher than what has been printed in
textbooks. What we are finding that is exciting is that every oil that he
is finding as they have distilled and analyzed, the percent of compounds are
much higher than any place else in the world. So whole and such a soft
beautiful scent. Eucalyptus smells more like perfume, but the results are
as real as can be. More pleasant – more balanced. Ecuador is all
volcanic ash soil. Largest volcanic activity in the world and it is in the
center and at the highest point in the world. There are many things
energetically that make these plants special. He is currently working with
14 plants. This has created such an excitement in the home office and with
Sue Chao! It’s been very exciting and he will be introducing a lot of
these new oils at convention so you want to come and enjoy this and more video
footage of him with the surgical team. I’m in the operating room – the
first foreign student at University of Azuay. He wants to be on both sides
of the world while getting his medical degree. In 2008 Gary Young will
graduate with his Medical Degree. One of the benefits of this – being on
the surgical team and using the oils for pre/post operative care and diffusing
the oils in the operating room and seeing the remarkable results with the
patients. He has assisted with 68 surgical patients, from
hysterectomies, gall bladder removals, and appendix removals – all with 100%
pain control with essential oils. Most remarkable. The surgeons are very
supportive and excited about learning - it’s been a remarkable journey!
It’s so exciting to have the freedom to do the medical research in 2 hospitals
and with the medical facility. It’s been a very exciting journey and
Mary and the boys will be moving to Ecuador on March 8.
Couple things: Update on the tremendous turnout in Chicago. Unfortunately,
we had to turn away 2-3 hundred people. The hotel couldn’t handle the
size of the group. He felt bad that so many could not attend and so he
called Jeffrey and asked for this conference call. He wants to come back
in April and do a Saturday workshop in the New York/New Jersey area somewhere.
Jeff said he would be happy to help and would make this work, so we are
planning for April 8th and he will bring a new oil to share with the New Jersey
seminar. Lets beat Chicago! Gary said, “I’ll share even more
because there will be more time.”
Palo Santo – Great for emotional release. Was put on a person’s head
and he experienced the best emotional release he ever had. Palo santo -
people are seeing results from just smelling it.
Gary; “These oils from Ecuador are of a higher frequency. What we see
chemistry wise is phenomenal.” What he is excited about, lavender,
marjoram, thyme- these oils are all over the globe. The oils from Ecuador
- nobody will have except Young Living – these oils are all going to be
exclusive to Young Living. Nobody else can get them, except through YL.
He owns the sanitation rights and the papers are being signed for this.
He had a vision of a university, but thought he would have to build it. He now
does not have to since being in Ecuador and building this program. Five
other universities have contacted him asking him to bring natural medicine into
their universities. On the phone yesterday and again on Friday with the
President of a large University of Ecuador – 4th phone call begging for his
time to meet because they want him to put a program in their University. By
bringing the academia into the Essential Oil sciences and participating through
the medical schools and doing the documentation, it now starts to open the door
to go around the world. 5 universities already begging for this program.
What he discovered was that the only way to see why things are the way they are,
was that it had to go out of the United States so that it could come back in, by
being accepted because of the academia and educational system. And little
by little it will change. Young Living will be the leader in making this
happen worldwide. We are providing the leadership and documentation to
make this happen. Publishing 9th paper on Palo Santo. Now is the
time for opening the door, everyone is interested in natural medicine. The push
is for natural medicine and every person who is in Young Living and everyone who
is a Distributor of Young Living will be a part of changing medicine for the
world. What a position to be in, in building this business, you could not be
better positioned for building a business than to be in YL right now with all of
this in the background going forward.
Every day in Ecuador is like a dream come true. Pinching myself day and
night. The doctors that are coming to the forefront begging to learn about the
oils . They say “It is part of our culture but we never did know it.” He
acquired 2 buildings TODAY. Starting construction and will open the Clinic May
11. It will hold 64 patents. A lot of wonderful things happening.
New Project: because he wants to give his distributors training, he is opening
the Mona, UT Visitor's Center April 1 to Distributors. Looking for
Executive and above to come and rent the Visitor's Center and bring your
downline in to train them on products and how to sell. While there they
will be trained by corporate staff on harvesting – products, everything.
It will be a training camp for distributors. If you want more information
call DNS or email and ask for Young Living Visitor's Center Training Camp.
Open Apr 1-Nov 1. Some wonderful training – Marketing Training
right from Corporate. Product training, clinic staff training - and tour
official headquarters for a first hand experience of entire operation of Young
Living. This is one of the greatest things you can do, to have the hands
on experience but take it a step further, get the experience and have the
training and train them onsite, on how to teach about the oils – a complete
package deal and very excited about providing a greater in-depth program for
distributors and with corporate as well.
Farm website with live
video footage of harvesting. Stay tuned for more information – will be
forwarding information from Ecuador end of this year. Event for November:
plans in the works right now in events department. Excited when clinic is up
come volunteer and take training – will be setting those programs in place as
well. First time in the world for anything like this to happen in natural
medicine. It is going to change the face of modern medicine.
“My appreciation to my Father in Heaven for giving me a second chance in
life.” He could have died numerous times, had serious broken spine, “I
cannot do enough to repay Him to help my brothers and sisters in every way I
can.”
